The 1-DAY PASSPORT is a prepaid card that allows HOTSPOT usage for 1 day (24 hours).
Time Limits
24 hours/ID
* Usage period is from first login until the same time the next day.
* You may log in as many times as you want if within the above time period.
Service Area
1-DAY PASSPORT can be used at HOTSPOT service areas.
#1-DAY PASSPORT service area is now expanded to Narita Airport.
* Please note that 1-DAY PASSPORT can not be used at Tokyo Midtown and roaming service areas.

500 JPY (tax included)/ID
* No initiation fee required.
* Vending machines sell 2 IDs for 1,000 JPY (tax included).

Agreement and Other Information
* Upon using 1 DAY-PASSPORT please read and agree to 1-DAY PASSPORT User Agreement (PDF) (Available in Japanese only).
* Please note that customers using the 1-DAY PASSPORT will not be able to use Member Support.
* 1 DAY-PASSPORT has expiration. See the card or printed sheet for the expiration period.
* No return or refund of 1 DAY-PASSPORT will be accepted.

HOTSPOT currently provides three different types of cards. Please be careful, as the purchase requirements and retail locations vary depending on the type.
1-DAY PASSPORT “Convenience Store Kiosk Type”
Information necessary to login (i.e. ESSID, WEP, ID and Password) is obtained by purchasing 1-DAY PASSPORT using Kiosk terminal “Fami Port” in about 7,200 Family Mart convenience stores all over Japan. English instruction is available on Kiosk “Fami Port”.
* Please note that 1DAY-PASSPORT is available only in Family Mart stores equipped with the Kiosk terminal “Fami Port”.
* 1-DAY PASSPORT “Convenience Store Kiosk Type” is a printed sheet, not in a card style.
1-DAY PASSPORT “Password-Printed Card Type”
Information necessary to login (i.e. ESSID, WEP, ID and Password) is obtained by scratching off the silver area of the card.
1-DAY PASSPORT “Password-Voice-Notification Card Type”
Information necessary to login (i.e. ESSID, WEP, and ID) is obtained by scratching off the silver area of the card, and Password is noticed by making a phone call as instructed (in Japanese only).
Please note that this option is for customers who are subscribed to Japanese mobile phone carriers and who understand Japanese.

1. Buy 1-DAY PASSPORT “Convenience Store Kiosk Type” at Kiosk terminal “Fami Port” and obtain a “Notice of Prepaid Number” Sheet.
2. Set the wireless LAN settings ((1) ESS-ID, WEP).
3. Launch your web browser and log in by inputting (2) ID and password.
1-DAY PASSPORT “Password-Printed Card Type”
1. Scratch the silver area using a coin and remove the covering completely.
2. Set the wireless LAN settings ((1) ESS-ID, WEP).
3. Launch your web browser and log in by inputting (2) ID and password.
1-DAY PASSPORT “Password-Voice-Notification Card Type”
A mobile phone or PHS that can be used in Japan is necessary.
* Voice notification of password is available in Japanese only.
* The customer will be charged for the call.
1. Scratch the silver area using a coin and remove the covering completely.
2. Set the wireless LAN settings ((1) ESS-ID, WEP).
3. Dial the mobile phone/PHS-exclusive number printed on the back of the card.
4. Enter the confirmation code (2) and press the # key to finish.
5. The password will be given verbally. (We recommend that you write down the password.)
6. Launch your web browser and log in by inputting the ID (2) and password(given in step 5).
